ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತವಾಗಿರುವ ಲೈಫ್ ಇನ್ಶೂರೆನ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಗೋಲ್ಡನ್ ಜ್ಯೂಬಿಲಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಷನ್, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಶಂಕರ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಣಿಗೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
4.31 ಕೋಟಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 64-ಸ್ಲೈಸ್ ಸಿಟಿ ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಯಂತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಾರ್ಟ್-ಲಂಗ್ ಮಷಿನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ನೆರವು ಆಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಿದೆ.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಐಸಿಯ ಸಿಇಒ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಆರ್ ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಆಗುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸುವುದು ಎಲ್ಐಸಿ ಗೋಲ್ಡನ್ ಜ್ಯೂಬಿಲಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಷನ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ. ಈ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ. ಈ ದೇಣಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಡಾ. ಬಿ ಎಸ್ ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳ ದೇಣಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ವೃದ್ಧಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ನೇರ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಐಸಿ ಗೋಲ್ಡನ್ ಜ್ಯೂಬಿಲಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಷನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಆರ್. ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅವರ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ ಐ ಸಿಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಪುನೀತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಆಶಿಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಪರಸ್ ನಾಥ್ ಜ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವರು ಇದ್ದರು.
Bengaluru: The Life Insurance Corporation of India Golden Jubilee Foundation, which is engaged in social work, has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment to Shankara Cancer Hospital, a leading cancer treatment centre in Bengaluru.
A 64-slice CT scan machine and a heart-lung machine worth Rs 4.31 crore were handed over to the hospital. These equipment will be of great help in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, providing greater convenience to thousands of patients coming from different parts of Bengaluru and Karnataka.
LIC CEO and Managing Director Dr. R Doreswamy, who participated in the program as the chief guest, said that the main objective of LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation is to join hands with organizations that contribute to the society. It is commendable that this hospital is treating patients at low cost and free of cost. He said that more people will get quality treatment with this donation.
Dr. B S Srinath said that the treatment capacity has increased a lot with the donation of these sophisticated machines. Thousands of patients will get direct benefit from this. He said that he would like to express his heartfelt thanks to LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation and Dr. R. Doreswamy and his team.
Senior officials of LIC such as Puneeth Kumar, Ashish Kumar Paras Nath J and many others were present at the program.
