ಕಾರವಾರ: ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ ಟಿಪಿಸಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು, ಅದರಂತೆ ವರದಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ, ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಭೂಮಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೆ. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮವು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿತ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ನೌಕಾಪಡೆ ಆವರಣಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವು ಭದ್ರತಾ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂವೇದನಾಶೀಲವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೈಗಾ ಅಣು ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸ್ಥಾವರ ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಿಂದ 45-50 ಕಿಲೋ ಮೀಟರ್ ವೈಮಾನಿಕ ದೂರದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವು ಭದ್ರತಾ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ವಲಯ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಭೂ ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತರು ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
The district administration of Uttara Kannada district has submitted a report to the government stating that the land in Bhavikeri village is unsuitable for the proposed NTPC project, Deputy Commissioner K. Lakshmipriya said in an official statement.
According to the report, Bhavikeri village falls within the limits of a proposed Indian Navy airbase project, with naval installations located within the village boundary. Due to this, the area is considered highly sensitive from a security perspective.
The report further noted that the Kaiga Atomic Power Station, already operational in the district, is situated at an aerial distance of about 45–50 km from Bhavikeri, making the region strategically significant in terms of security.
It also highlighted that Bhavikeri village is home to displaced persons who lost their land due to national highway and naval base projects.
