ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಡಾ. ಸಿ.ಎ. ಎ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್ (88) ಅವರು ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ನಿ ವಿಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ, ಪುತ್ರಿ ಪದ್ಮಿನಿ, ಪುತ್ರ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಂದಿ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅಪಾರ ಬಂಧು ಬಳಗ ಇದೆ.
1988ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎ. ಶಾಂರಾವ್ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಡಾ. ಸಿ.ಎ. ಎ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್ ಅವರು, ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಆಫ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಅವರ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್, ನಂತರ ಹಲವು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಹಾಗೂ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
1980ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಸಸ್ಯಾಹಾರಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಲಭಿಸಿವೆ.
ಡಾ. ಸಿ.ಎ. ಎ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾವ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞ, ಚಾರ್ಟರ್ಡ್ ಅಕೌಂಟೆಂಟ್, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಎ. ಶಾಮರಾವ್ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು: ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಆಫ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, 15ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ 12,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ನಿಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಶ್ರದ್ದಾಂಜಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Dr. C.A. A. Raghavendra Rao (88), founder chairman, chancellor of Srinivas Educational Institutions, renowned educationist and businessman, has passed away. He is survived by his wife Vijayalakshmi, daughter Padmini, son Srinivas and four grandchildren.
Dr. C.A. A. Raghavendra Rao, who founded the A. Shanrao Foundation in 1988, played a key role in the growth of the Srinivas Group of Colleges into leading educational institutions in the state.
His Srinivas College of Hotel Management, which started with a small number of students, later expanded into several professional and higher education institutions.
He had established a vegetarian hotel called Srinivas in 1980. He has received many awards, including the Karnataka Rajyotsava District Award, for his contribution to education and social service.
Dr. C.A. A. Raghavendra Rao was a prominent educationist, chartered accountant, businessman and the Chancellor of Srinivas University in Mangalore. He is credited with establishing educational institutions through the A. Shamrao Foundation, providing quality education and job opportunities to thousands of students. Educational Institutions: Srinivas Group of Colleges was established and educated over 12,000 students through more than 15 educational institutions. Many dignitaries have paid tribute to his demise.
