ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರು ಮಧುಮೇಹದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೇಹದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಗಾಂಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯತಿರಿಕ್ತ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಕಣಚೂರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ.ಹಾಜಿ ಯು.ಕೆ.ಮೋನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಣಚೂರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ವಿಶ್ವ ಮಧುಮೇಹ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರ ಪ್ರೊ. ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಸ್ಮಾಯಿಲ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದರು.
ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಡಾ. ದೇವದಾಸ್‌ ರೈ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯೊಂದು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜೀವನ ಶೈಲಿ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬರುವಂತದ್ದು, ಕೆಲಸದ ಒತ್ತಡ, ಬೊಜ್ಜು, ಅಧಿಕ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಅಂಶದ ಆಹಾರ ಸೇವನೆ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ ರಹಿತ ಜೀವನ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ಆಗಲಿದೆ. ಮಧುಮೇಹದ ಲಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಾ ಸುಪ್ರಿತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಕಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಡಯಾಬಿಟಿಸ್ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ, ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಭಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಅವರು, ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಡಯಾಬಿಟಿಸ್ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಡಾ. ಗಣೇಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ವೆಲಿಯತ್‌ ಡಯಾಬಿಟಿಸ್ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಉಪಶಮನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕ ಡಾ. ಹರೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ರತ್ನಾಕರ್ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ವಿ. ಪ್ರಭು ಇದ್ದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ 150 ವೈದ್ಯರು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ ಮಧುರ ಭಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಥ್ವೀಶ್ ಹುಲೆಕಲ್ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
Diabetes is a deadly disease and lakhs of people in the country are suffering from it. It will have an adverse effect on the body’s health and organs. Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences President Dr. Haji U.K. Monu said that awareness is necessary to control this disease.
He spoke while inaugurating the World Diabetes Day organized by the Department of Medical Sciences, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences.
Institute Adviser Prof. Mohammad Ismail said that information and awareness about diabetes disease is necessary.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Department of Medicine Dr. Devdas Rai said that a diabetes disease is caused by modern life style, work pressure, obesity, consumption of high sugar content and non-exercise life. Explained the symptoms and treatment of diabetes.
Dr. Supritha Shetty on Diabetes in the Younger, Dr. Prabha Adhikari gave a lecture on Diabetes in Elderly. Dr. as resource persons. Ganesh and Dr. Balakrishna Veliat gave a lecture on diabetes disease relief and management.
