ಕಾರವಾರ: ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಾರವಾರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ದಾಸ್ತಾನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಸಂಗ್ರಹದ ಅಡ್ಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಗುರುವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕಾರವಾರ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ರಾಯಕೋಡ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಾರವಾರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಹಣಕೋಣ ಜೂಗ್ ಬಳಿ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಇಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಅಡ್ಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ 5 ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್ ಮರಳು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳ ಚಿತ್ತಾಕೂಲ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ.
ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ರಾಯಕೋಡ್ ಹಾಗೂ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ನಿಶ್ಚಲ್ ನರೋಣಾ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಅಡ್ಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮರಳನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೇ ಕಾರವಾರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಕಡವಾಡ, ಸುಂಕೇರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮರಳು ಕಳ್ಳರಿಗೆ ಭಯ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಂತ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಮರಳು ಕಳ್ಳರು ಅವ್ಯಾಹತವಾಗಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ಧಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾಳಿ ನದಿಯ ಒಡಲಿನ ಆಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಣಕೋಣ ಜೂಗ್ ಬಳಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ವೇಳೆ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪತ್ತೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದ ಮರಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದಾಳಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ಉಪ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಅಂಬಿಗ್, ಕಂದಾಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಪ್ರೀತೇಶ್ ಬಾಂದೇಕರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಹನ ಚಾಲಕರು ಇದ್ದರು.
On Thursday night, under the leadership of Jayalakshmi Rayakod, Sub-Divisional Officer, Karwar, raids were carried out on illegal sand collection carts in Karwar taluk of Uttara Kannada district.
5 tippers of sand were seized in a raid on an illegal sand dump near Hanakona Jug in Karwar taluk. The place where the attack took place is under the jurisdiction of Chittakool Police Station.
For a few days now, under the joint leadership of Sub-Divisional Officer Jayalakshmi Rayakod and Karwar Tahsildar Nischal Narona, raids are being carried out on illegal sand pits, and the sand is being seized and handed over to the concerned department. A few days ago there were continuous attacks in many places including Kadawada and Sunkeri of Karwar taluk and the sand thieves were engaged in illegal sand collection business. It has been found that sand mining is going on deep in the bed of river Kali.
Only illegal sand was found when the officials raided near Hanakona Joog. The authorities have handed over the seized sand to the police for further action.
Deputy Tehsildar Ambig, Revenue Inspector Preetesh Bandekar and the vehicle driver were present during the attack.
