ಕಾರವಾರ (ಗೋಕರ್ಣ): ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೃಕಾರ್ಯ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವುದು ವಾಡಿಕೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಗೋಕರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೃಪಕ್ಷದ ಪರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೃಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಸಖತ್‌ ವೈರಲ್‌ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಧಾನೇಶ್ವರಿ ನಗರದ ಶಂಸಾದ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷಿ ಅವರ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಬಲಿ, ತ್ರಿಪಿಂಡಿ ಶ್ರಾದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ತಿಲಹವನವನ್ನು ಗೋಕರ್ಣದ ಪಿತೃಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಂಸಾದ್ ಅವರು ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಾವು ಕುಂಡಲಿ, ಜಾತಕ, ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟವರು. ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಗದಗಿನ ವೀರನಾರಾಯಣ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮುದಾಯದವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬೆಳೆದು ಬಂದವರು. ತಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಸಿಗದೇ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೆವು. ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮನ ಮದುವೆ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಶಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಪಿತೃ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷಿಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಂತೆ ಗೋಕರ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಪುರೋಹಿತರಾದ ನಾಗರಾಜ ಭಟ್ ಗುರಲಿಂಗ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಚಿತ್ರಿಗೆಮಠ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಗೋಕರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದವರು, ವಿದೇಶಿಗರು ಇಂತಹ ಪಿತೃ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಅನೇಕ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಕುಟುಂಬವೊಂದು ಪಿತೃಕಾರ್ಯ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

A person named Shamsad of Dhaneshwari Nagar, Dharwad, performed Narayana Bali, Tripindi Shraddha and Thilahavana at Pitrushala in Gokarna as per the advice of an astrologer.
Commenting on this, Shamsad said, “Since the beginning we have believed in Kundali, Jataka, Hindu tradition. Our father grew up near the Veeranarayan temple in Gadag along with the Brahmin and Lingayat community. We went to an astrologer when we could not find a girl for marriage. As he said, he has done this work for his marriage, mental peace and progress in employment.
As per the guidance of astrologers, we came to Gokarna and performed puja rituals under the leadership of field priests Nagaraja Bhat Guraling and Subrahmanya Chitrigemath. In Gokarna, there are many examples of Christian community and foreigners performing such paternal work. But it is said that this is the first time that a Muslim family has performed patriarchy.
