ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ.ಹರೀಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ, ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ, ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೆಟ್ಟುನಿಂತು ದೇಶದ ಜನತೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಗಳಿಸಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಧುಮುಕಿದರು. ಅವರ ನಡೆ-ನುಡಿ, ತತ್ವಾದರ್ಶ, ಅಹಿಂಸಾ ವಾದ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕ. ಅವರು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸೂತ್ರಗಳು ದೇಶ ಮರೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಗಾಂಧಿ ಹಂತಕ ಗೋಡ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆಸುವುದು ದೇಶದ ದುರಂತ. ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ, ಸರಳತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆದರ್ಶ ಎಂದರು.
ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಬಿ.ರಮಾನಾಥ ರೈ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ರೀತಿಯ ಚಳವಳಿ ನಡೆದರೂ ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಅಹಿಂಸಾ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಕಂಡಿತು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಜನರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ದೆಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಪ್ಪು-ಬಿಳಿ ತಾರತಮ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಪ್ರಬಲ ಚಳವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ವಿದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಜೀವನ, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟ, ಭಾರತೀಯನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ. ಸೈನಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ರೈತರ ನೈತಿಕ ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಜೈ ಜವಾನ್, ಜೈ ಕಿಸಾನ್ ಎಂಬ ಘೋಷಣೆ ನೀಡಿದರು ಎಂದರು.
