ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಹಾಸನ ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಅನರ್ಹತೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಆದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕುತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಇರುವುದು ನಿರಾಳತೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸಂಸದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಅಸಿಂಧುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ಅವರು ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸೋಮವಾರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಧನಂಜಯ ಚಂದ್ರಚೂಡ್‌, ಪರಡಿವಾಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಜ್‌ ಮಿಶ್ರಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಪೀಠ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ನೀಡಿತು. ಮುಂದಿನ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವಾರಗಳ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಈ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಳಿಕ ಮುಂದಿನ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆದು ಅಂತಿಮ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆದಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಆರೋಪ ಹಾಸನ ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅವರ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಅಸಿಂಧುಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಪರಾಜಜಿತ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಎ.ಮಂಜು ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
The Supreme Court has stayed the Karnataka High Court’s order disqualifying the seat of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, and it is a relief that there is no stake in his seat.
Prajwal Revanna had approached the Supreme Court challenging the High Court’s order invalidating the position of MP. A bench comprising Chief Justice Dhananjaya Chandrachud, Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra on Monday stayed the High Court order. The ban will remain in force for the next four weeks. The court said that further hearing will be held and the final decision will be announced.
